Chemistry of Tears/In one person

Me losing it. I have loved these authors and read all their books for years, but somehow was unable to read either of these with any pleasure. Hopefully it is just my brain degrading and not their powers declining but I found both books spoke of entirely unsympathetic characters who fretted about things I wasn't interested in, which is odd as they both dealt with fake characters and death - i.e. we have been here before, but last time I enjoyed it. I haven't given a synopsis as you can find loads of reviews and more on Goodreads, I just thought I would warn other Afterworders to take care.
